Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2006 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Pictures, which included the work The General Cargo Steamer Agenoria At Sea by Edouard Adam. The price achieved of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,503.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by Edouard Adam have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2008 the work The Charles M. Watts at sea was auctioned for USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,738.09).

Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Maritime Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The General Cargo Steamer Agenoria At Sea von Edouard Adam zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.503,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Edouard Adam konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Januar 2008 die Arbeit The Charles M. Watts at sea für USD 10.000,00 (€ 6.738,09) versteigert.
