This artwork by Edouard Adam achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2007. In the Maritime auction, the work The French liner Guadeloupe at sea sold for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,275.42) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edouard Adam - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Charles M. Watts at sea, which sold at auction in January 2008 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,738.09).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Edouard Adam erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Maritime wurde die Arbeit The French liner Guadeloupe at sea für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 2.275,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Edouard Adam mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Charles M. Watts at sea beobachtet, die im Januar 2008 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 6.738,09) versteigert wurde.
