It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,360.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Other works by Edouard Adam have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2008 the work The Charles M. Watts at sea was auctioned for USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,738.09).
