Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Edmond Aman-Jean could be acquired at Sothebys in Paris in November 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Jacques Grange | Collectionneur auction, the work Day (I) Night (Ii) changed hands for EUR 3,750.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edmond Aman-Jean - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait de Mademoiselle V.G., which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,549.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edmond Aman-Jean konnte im November 2017 bei Sothebys in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Jacques Grange | Collectionneur wechselte die Arbeit Day (I) Night (Ii) für EUR 3.750,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Edmond Aman-Jean mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait de Mademoiselle V.G. beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.549,27) versteigert wurde.
