Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Edmond Aman-Jean could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art auction, the work Femme assise au singe changed hands for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,491.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00.
