In October 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian, which included the work The Spring Fever Is Not Always Sexy by Eddie Hara. The result of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 7,117.11) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 75,000.00 – 95,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eddie Hara - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work My Crowded Universe, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,072.31).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Spring Fever Is Not Always Sexy von Eddie Hara zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 7.117,11) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 75.000,00 – 95.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Eddie Hara mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit My Crowded Universe beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.072,31) versteigert wurde.
