Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Perjalanan Sang Buddha (Journey Of The Buddha) by Eddie Hara. The price achieved of HKD 47,500.00 (€ 4,890.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eddie Hara - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work My Crowded Universe, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,072.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Perjalanan Sang Buddha (Journey Of The Buddha) von Eddie Hara zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 47.500,00 (€ 4.890,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Eddie Hara mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit My Crowded Universe beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.072,31) versteigert wurde.
