This artwork by Eddie Hara achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2008. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work My Crowded Universe sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,072.31) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. This high result makes My Crowded Universe the most expensive artwork by Eddie Hara that we have observed at auctions so far.
