Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Postcards from the Alps Series by Eddie Hara was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 3,913.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Eddie Hara have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work My Crowded Universe in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,072.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Postcards from the Alps Series von Eddie Hara kam im Mai 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 3.913,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eddie Hara auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit My Crowded Universe im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.072,31).
