Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New England Kitchen by Eastman Johnson was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2012. The price achieved of USD 36,250.00 (€ 27,401.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eastman Johnson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Little Soldier in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 856,000.00 (€ 693,173.54).

Die Arbeit New England Kitchen von Eastman Johnson wurde im April 2012 in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 36.250,00 (€ 27.401,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden.
