Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Kitchen at Mount Vernon by Eastman Johnson. The »bidding war« ended at USD 435,000.00 (€ 394,772.67), 24% above the upper estimate. Other works by Eastman Johnson have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 856,000.00 (€ 693,173.54) in May 2005 for the work The Little Soldier.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kitchen at Mount Vernon von Eastman Johnson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 435.000,00 (€ 394.772,67) und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Eastman Johnson haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 856.000,00 (€ 693.173,54) im Mai 2005 für die Arbeit The Little Soldier beobachtet.
