This artwork by Dylan Lewis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Zurich in June 2021. In the The Swiss Fine Art Sale auction, the work Finch II sold for CHF 8,820.00 (€ 8,045.05) - well above the upper estimate of CHF 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dylan Lewis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Walking Cheetahs in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 301,000.00 (€ 204,929.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dylan Lewis erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in Zürich einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Swiss Fine Art Sale wurde die Arbeit Finch II für CHF 8.820,00 (€ 8.045,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CHF 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dylan Lewis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Walking Cheetahs im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 301.000,00 (€ 204.929,19).
