Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Sothebys in Zurich held the auction The Swiss Fine Art Sale, which included the work Cape Robin by Dylan Lewis. The price achieved of CHF 4,410.00 (€ 4,022.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CHF 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dylan Lewis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Walking Cheetahs in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 301,000.00 (€ 204,929.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Sothebys in Zürich die Auktion The Swiss Fine Art Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cape Robin von Dylan Lewis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CHF 4.410,00 (€ 4.022,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CHF 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dylan Lewis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Walking Cheetahs im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 301.000,00 (€ 204.929,19).
