Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cape Robin by Dylan Lewis was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,985.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dylan Lewis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Walking Cheetahs in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 301,000.00 (€ 204,929.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cape Robin von Dylan Lewis kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.520,00 (€ 2.985,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dylan Lewis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Walking Cheetahs im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 301.000,00 (€ 204.929,19).
