Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Walking Lion 27.5 x 51.8 x 8.2cm (10 13/16 x 20 3/8 x 3 1/4in). by Dylan Lewis was auctioned at Bonhams in London in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,925.00 (€ 10,581.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dylan Lewis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Walking Cheetahs in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 301,000.00 (€ 204,929.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Walking Lion 27.5 x 51.8 x 8.2cm (10 13/16 x 20 3/8 x 3 1/4in). von Dylan Lewis kam im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.925,00 (€ 10.581,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dylan Lewis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Walking Cheetahs im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 301.000,00 (€ 204.929,19).
