This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Duncan McCormick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Trevor’s Dream in June this year with an auction result of GBP 177,800.00 (€ 206,928.59).
