A top price for Max Meldrum
In May 2001 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS, which included the work Pacé by Max Meldrum. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 47,000.00 (€ 28,172.21), 18% above the upper estimate. With this result, Pacé is even the most expensive work of art by Max Meldrum that we have observed at auctions so far.

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 47.000,00 (€ 28.172,21) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Pacé sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Max Meldrum, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
