Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dr. Dain L. Tasker could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work 'Amazon - Lily' changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,698.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dr. Dain L. Tasker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tulips; Lily; and Strelitzia (Bird of Pardise) 3 in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,473.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dr. Dain L. Tasker konnte im April 2010 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit 'Amazon - Lily' für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.698,54) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dr. Dain L. Tasker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tulips; Lily; and Strelitzia (Bird of Pardise) 3 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.473,70).
