Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Doris Ulmann could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work A Group Of Boys, South Carolina changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,421.07) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Doris Ulmann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Baptism in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,714.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Doris Ulmann konnte im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit A Group Of Boys, South Carolina für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.421,07) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Doris Ulmann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Baptism im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.714,09).
