Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2019 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Spring Leisure – Red Camellia(Painted In 2014) by Dong Shaw-Hwei. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 220,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 224,200.00 (€ 25,625.73). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dong Shaw-Hwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pink Camellia In The Morning (Painted In 2014) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 540,000.00 (€ 551,445.65).
