Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tropides Islands - A Series of Three Stamps by Donald Evans was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2012. The price achieved of EUR 3,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donald Evans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lo Stato Di Mangiare; Amis Et Amants; Lichaam En Geest; Postes Aériennes Du Sabot; Nadorp; Territoires De Calude – Etats D’Outre Mer [Six Works|AID280972] in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,176.37).
