Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Sabot - Poisonous Mushrooms - A Series of Eight Stamps by Donald Evans. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donald Evans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lo Stato Di Mangiare; Amis Et Amants; Lichaam En Geest; Postes Aériennes Du Sabot; Nadorp; Territoires De Calude – Etats D’Outre Mer [Six Works|AID280972] in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,176.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sabot - Poisonous Mushrooms - A Series of Eight Stamps von Donald Evans zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Donald Evans erzielen.
