Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figura by Domenico Cantatore was sold in the ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA auction at Christies in Milan in May 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 7,440.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Domenico Cantatore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Natura morta, which sold at auction in May 2000 for ITL 28,200,000.00 (€ 24,185.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figura von Domenico Cantatore wurde im Mai 2003 in der Auktion ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 7.440,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Domenico Cantatore mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Natura morta beobachtet, die im Mai 2000 für ITL 28.200.000,00 (€ 24.185,25) versteigert wurde.
