Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Christies in Milan held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Senza titolo by Domenico Cantatore. It changed hands for a price of EUR 2,860.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Domenico Cantatore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Natura morta in May 2000 with an auction result of ITL 28,200,000.00 (€ 24,185.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Senza titolo von Domenico Cantatore zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 2.860,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Domenico Cantatore auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Natura morta im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 28.200.000,00 (€ 24.185,25).
