Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Squatting Men by Djoko Pekik was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,557.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Djoko Pekik - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kuda Lumping, which sold at auction in October 2003 for HKD 334,600.00 (€ 37,094.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two Squatting Men von Djoko Pekik wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.557,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Djoko Pekik mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kuda Lumping beobachtet, die im Oktober 2003 für HKD 334.600,00 (€ 37.094,51) versteigert wurde.
