It achieved a price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 17,438.72), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Djoko Pekik - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kuda Lumping, which sold at auction in October 2003 for HKD 334,600.00 (€ 37,094.51).

Die Arbeit Cari Kutu (Looking For Lice) von Djoko Pekik kam im April 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 17.438,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Djoko Pekik mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kuda Lumping beobachtet, die im Oktober 2003 für HKD 334.600,00 (€ 37.094,51) versteigert wurde.
