Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lady Smoking by Djoko Pekik was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,633.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Djoko Pekik have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kuda Lumping in October 2003 with an auction result of HKD 334,600.00 (€ 37,094.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lady Smoking von Djoko Pekik wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.633,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Djoko Pekik auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kuda Lumping im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 334.600,00 (€ 37.094,51).
