Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Sothebys in Singapore held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Nonton Tayuban by Djoko Pekik. The price achieved of SGD 28,800.00 (€ 13,872.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as SGD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Djoko Pekik - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kuda Lumping, which sold at auction in October 2003 for HKD 334,600.00 (€ 37,094.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2007 führte Sothebys in Singapur die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nonton Tayuban von Djoko Pekik zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von SGD 28.800,00 (€ 13.872,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit SGD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Djoko Pekik mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kuda Lumping beobachtet, die im Oktober 2003 für HKD 334.600,00 (€ 37.094,51) versteigert wurde.
