Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sutralah (Whatever) by Djoko Pekik was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 280,000.00 – 350,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 288,000.00 (€ 28,927.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Djoko Pekik have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2003 the work Kuda Lumping was auctioned for HKD 334,600.00 (€ 37,094.51).

Die Arbeit Sutralah (Whatever) von Djoko Pekik wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 280.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 288.000,00 (€ 28.927,92) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
