Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2000 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A farmyard landscape with drovers by Dirck van Bergen. Here, the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 4,465.00 (€ 5,261.61). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dirck van Bergen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Italianate landscape with a shepherd and shepherdess sheltering under a tree with animals; and An Italianate landscape with a peasant family resting with cattle by a fountain, which sold at auction in July 2002 for GBP 8,225.00 (€ 13,119.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2000 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A farmyard landscape with drovers von Dirck van Bergen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 4.465,00 (€ 5.261,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Dirck van Bergen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An Italianate landscape with a shepherd and shepherdess sheltering under a tree with animals; and An Italianate landscape with a peasant family resting with cattle by a fountain beobachtet, die im Juli 2002 für GBP 8.225,00 (€ 13.119,19) versteigert wurde.
