Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2005 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern ArtDay Sale, which included the work Table-carcasse, grand modèle bas au navigateur by Diego Giacometti. The price achieved of GBP 400,000.00 (€ 580,051.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Diego Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La console 'Hommage à Böcklin' in October this year with an auction result of GBP 5,122,000.00 (€ 5,881,478.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern ArtDay Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Table-carcasse, grand modèle bas au navigateur von Diego Giacometti zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 400.000,00 (€ 580.051,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 350.000,00 – 450.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Diego Giacometti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La console 'Hommage à Böcklin' im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.122.000,00 (€ 5.881.478,99).
