Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Collioure, Pyrénées by Derwent Lees was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,244.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Derwent Lees achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sandhills in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 71,083.80).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 840,00 (€ 1.244,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
