Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Olive Grove by Derwent Lees was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2016. It achieved a price of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,836.86), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Derwent Lees have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sandhills in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 71,083.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Olive Grove von Derwent Lees kam im März 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.836,86) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Derwent Lees auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sandhills im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 71.083,80).
