Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Distant View Of Lakeside Buildings by Derwent Lees was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,638.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Derwent Lees have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sandhills in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 71,083.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Distant View Of Lakeside Buildings von Derwent Lees kam im Dezember 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.638,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Derwent Lees auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sandhills im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 71.083,80).
