In the Contemporary Edition: New York: Featuring the Collection of Kenwal Steel in Support of GLAAD auction, the work Self Portrait on Float sold for USD 17,640.00 (€ 16,225.17) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Derrick Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure In The Urban Landscape 31 in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 212,892.79).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Derrick Adams erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Edition: New York: Featuring the Collection of Kenwal Steel in Support of GLAAD wurde die Arbeit Self Portrait on Float für USD 17.640,00 (€ 16.225,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Derrick Adams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure In The Urban Landscape 31 im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 212.892,79).
