Auction result misses estimated price range

In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work Head #11 by Derrick Adams for HKD 76,800.00 (€ 9,012.10). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Art at Bonhams in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Derrick Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure In The Urban Landscape 31 in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 212,892.79).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Head #11 von Derrick Adams für HKD 76.800,00 (€ 9.012,10) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Derrick Adams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure In The Urban Landscape 31 im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 212.892,79).
