Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Derek Boshier could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Highlights changed hands for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,765.08) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Derek Boshier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Man Versus Look, Versus Life, Versus Time, Versus Man About in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 237,500.00 (€ 266,985.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Derek Boshier konnte im Oktober 2010 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wechselte die Arbeit Highlights für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.765,08) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Derek Boshier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Man Versus Look, Versus Life, Versus Time, Versus Man About im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 237.500,00 (€ 266.985,22).
