The work The love letter by Denys George Wells was sold in the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in March 2007. The auction ended at the price of GBP 600.00 (€ 883.13), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Denys George Wells achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nursery Tea in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,367.08).
