Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Audrey Hepburn during the filming of 'Sabrina' by Billy Wilder by Dennis Stock was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,929.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dennis Stock - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'A Memorial Portfolio: James Dean', which sold at auction in October 2013 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,712.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Audrey Hepburn during the filming of 'Sabrina' by Billy Wilder von Dennis Stock wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.929,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dennis Stock mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'A Memorial Portfolio: James Dean' beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.712,37) versteigert wurde.
