This artwork by Denis Bowen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in February 2021. In the British. Cool. auction, the work Exploded Image, 1957 sold for GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,117.32) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Denis Bowen; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Form Through Action sold at auction in November 2017 with the realized price of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,675.74).

Cool. wurde die Arbeit Exploded Image, 1957 für GBP 3.570,00 (€ 4.117,32) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Denis Bowen; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Form Through Action im November 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.675,74).
