Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Moondust by Denis Bowen was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in April 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,053.27), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Denis Bowen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Form Through Action, which sold at auction in November 2017 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,675.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Moondust von Denis Bowen wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.053,27) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Für andere Arbeiten von Denis Bowen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Form Through Action beobachtet, die im November 2017 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.675,74) versteigert wurde.
