Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Dayanita Singh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in September 2016. In the Vincent Wapler Collection auction, the work Gayle And Sister, Goa (2000) - 2004 sold for EUR 5,200.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dayanita Singh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Asiatic Library, Bombay, 2000, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 17,640.00 (€ 18,031.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dayanita Singh erzielte im September 2016 bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Vincent Wapler Collection wurde die Arbeit Gayle And Sister, Goa (2000) - 2004 für EUR 5.200,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dayanita Singh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Asiatic Library, Bombay, 2000 beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 17.640,00 (€ 18.031,28) versteigert wurde.
