Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Dayanita Singh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in September 2016. In the Vincent Wapler Collection auction, the work Asiatic Library Reading Room, Bombay (2000) - 2004 sold for EUR 4,550.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dayanita Singh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Asiatic Library, Bombay, 2000, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 17,640.00 (€ 18,031.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dayanita Singh erzielte im September 2016 bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Vincent Wapler Collection wurde die Arbeit Asiatic Library Reading Room, Bombay (2000) - 2004 für EUR 4.550,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dayanita Singh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Asiatic Library, Bombay, 2000 beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 17.640,00 (€ 18.031,28) versteigert wurde.
