Sold at the upper estimate price
In November 2019 Christies in London held the auction Modern | British Art, which included the work Two Swimmers by David Wynne. The auction ended at the price of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 35,227.33), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Wynne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boy with a Dolphin in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 353,000.00 (€ 413,681.16).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern | British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Swimmers von David Wynne zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 35.227,33) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Wynne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boy with a Dolphin im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 353.000,00 (€ 413.681,16).
