Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Girl with a Dolphin II by David Wynne for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,034.17). This price was achieved in the auction Modern | British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by David Wynne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boy with a Dolphin in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 353,000.00 (€ 413,681.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Girl with a Dolphin II von David Wynne für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 44.034,17) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern | British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Wynne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boy with a Dolphin im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 353.000,00 (€ 413.681,16).
