Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David Wynne achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2019. In the Modern | British & Irish Art auction, the work Boy with a Dolphin sold for GBP 212,500.00 (€ 247,198.91) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 100,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by David Wynne; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Boy with a Dolphin sold at auction in March 2017 with the realized price of GBP 353,000.00 (€ 413,681.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Wynne erzielte im April 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern | British & Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Boy with a Dolphin für GBP 212.500,00 (€ 247.198,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 100.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von David Wynne; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Boy with a Dolphin im März 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 353.000,00 (€ 413.681,16).
