The work Cresta Rider by David Wynne was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in November 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 31,500.00 (€ 36,983.96), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Wynne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boy with a Dolphin in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 353,000.00 (€ 413,681.16).

Die Arbeit Cresta Rider von David Wynne wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 31.500,00 (€ 36.983,96) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Wynne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boy with a Dolphin im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 353.000,00 (€ 413.681,16).
