Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Bonhams in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Oh Boy (Minnie) by David Spiller. The price achieved of GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,627.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Spiller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Only You (Tom), which sold at auction in September 2019 for GBP 9,437.00 (€ 10,648.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Oh Boy (Minnie) von David Spiller zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.627,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von David Spiller mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Only You (Tom) beobachtet, die im September 2019 für GBP 9.437,00 (€ 10.648,54) versteigert wurde.
