Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kate Moss, for W, 2006 by David Sims was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in October 2019. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,446.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Sims - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kate Moss, for W, 2006, which sold at auction in September 2013 for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 38,848.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kate Moss, for W, 2006 von David Sims wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.446,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von David Sims mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kate Moss, for W, 2006 beobachtet, die im September 2013 für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 38.848,73) versteigert wurde.
