In July this year Phillips in 17 - held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction, which included this untitled work by David Salle. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,255.00 (€ 7,490.93), 65% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Salle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mingus in Mexico in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 608,750.00 (€ 694,094.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 65 % übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Phillips in 17 - die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von David Salle zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.255,00 (€ 7.490,93) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Salle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mingus in Mexico im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 608.750,00 (€ 694.094,16).
